Abbey Choristers

The Abbey Choristers lead the singing twice a month at the Family and All Age Communion services and occasionally join with the adult choir. They are a mixed-sex group aged 7-14 drawn mainly from local schools.

Maybe you would like to consider involving your child in the music at Waltham Abbey. By joining the Abbey Choristers they will get to be involved in the wide variety of music-making in the Abbey Church, learning about singing and music theory, music in the Church, and most importantly, how to work as a team.

Each week the choristers receive theory tuition from the Director of Music or Assistant Organist.

The choristers' matron is Debbie Woodall.

If you wish your child to become a chorister, please contact the Director of Music.

Rehearsals take place on Friday evenings (6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.) with a short break in the middle of the practice.
